Coming to Atlanta for a visit?

With the right planning, visiting Atlanta has something for everyone – from little kids to hipsters, from oenophiles to audiophiles.

I have found that many times people are “accidental tourists” when they come to the city – they’re coming for a weekend event, accompanying a partner on a business trip or visiting one of the many colleges here – and they either don’t know all the fun things there are to do here or they assume there isn’t much beyond the World of Coca-Cola (which is a real thing and also is fun).

Atlanta, like any major city, can be daunting and frankly, boring, if you don’t plan ahead.

Atlanta is a diverse, sophisticated, quirky city that has so much to offer. But you need to know where to look and how to do it like an insider. I’m here to help.

I’ve spent more than 20 years exploring the city.

First as a young, cool party girl (party couple with my husband), as parents looking for fun stuff to do with little ones, as a constant tour guide with all my friends and family, and now, once again, with more freedom as my kids are older and I have ventured all over the city in search of fun things to do, great things to eat and drink and cool ways to spend a few days.

On this site, you’ll find out from a local answers to some key Atlanta questions:

I love exploring the city and I love showing it off – and surprising people!

There is no shortage of fun things to do in Atlanta for every type of visitor, from bar hopping to concerts, from plays to sporting events, coupled with a seemingly endless array of festivals, farmers markets and other fun activities.

And yes, also the World of Coca-Cola. I hope y’all enjoy it as much as I do. Let’s go!
